Ghostery helps block advertising and trackers on websites

Who likes advertising? Who wants more privacy? Yep, that's why we love using the Ghostery extension in our browser to block website advertising and nasty trackers that can follow us around.

To see what Ghostery blocks, we visited the top 100 websites from Alexa Top Sites in United States on Dec. 28 2014, and recorded the Ghostery blocking data from their homepages only. Then we loaded the data into a database, did some cleansing, wrote a bunch of queries, and here's what we found:
